About Liberty County Hospital District No.1

The Liberty County Hospital District No.1 was formed by election in 2005.

Liberty County Hospital District's purpose is to provide cost-effective indigent health care with passion, respect and professionalism administered through it's staff and elected board of directors.

Qualification requirements are based on but limited to:

  • Residency
  • Income resources 
  • Location within the boundary of the Hospital District

The Liberty County Hospital District No. 1 (LCHD) provides eligible clients with:

  • Primary Healthcare

  •  2 prescriptions a month

  • Radiology Services (Imaging with ultrasound, CT scans, x-rays, MRI)

  • Mammograms

  • Physical Therapy

  • Emergency Room Services

  • Specialty Care Services (including, but not limited to, general surgery, Cardiology, ENT, GYN, Podiatry, Neurology)

Program eligibility is based on a 3 or 6 month basis. Clients may renew providing required information has been submitted and approved.

Qualification requires a medical need and necessity.  Exclusions include: mental health, drug or alcohol dependency programs and medications, obstetrics and birth control.

Liberty County Hospital District No. 1 supports and maintains the local community hospital.

Our LCHD No.1 Directors also serve on the Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center Board.
